Question Gas pedal spring.......

Hello everyone!!!

Did Ford put a spring behind there gas pedal on there 73-79 trucks? Reason I ask is I have a 77 F250 that has a spring behind the pedal, but my 75 F150 doesn't.

Did some have them and some not? Or did they all have them?

I have never seen that. Does the one you have look like an original part?

Do you mean between the pedal and the floor? No spring there. The tension should come from a spring on the carb.

The pedal pivots on the metal pedal arm, and there's a small spring to keep the pedal straight. Is that what you are seeing?
