I've never heard this one, good info. I haven't installed my intercooleer yet but I think now would be a good time to drill and tap the spyder for a barbed fitting. I still need to acquire the piping though, hopefully I'll get it done this fall or over the winter.
Once you install an intercooler, the factory location is on the cold side of the intercooler.
Indeed it is. I had an epiphany of sorts or at least a rectal decraniation. I'm not sure what got so twisted up that I wasn't understanding. Long shifts and no sleep I guess.
Does the stock hole need to be plugged when doin this or should it stay in place and just T off and go to the hot side. I am goin to do it this week. I have noticed a lot more turbo lag and drop in max boost since the IC install. I lost about 4 psi.

So since I'm running an intercooler this mod is something I should do right? I know that my turbo seems laggy. Stock location of MAP line is the pass side intake manifold right? But for this mod to work it needs to go into the hot side, or the drivermost side of the intercooler piping?
This is the IC system I have. Line needs to be moved over to the single pipe on the mid-right side of the pic leading towards/hooking upto the turbo correct?
ETA: Not the actual air intake, but the only other choice besides the spyder.
Alright well good deal. It turns out I had the idea of hot/cold side backwards. I just moved it over and just plugged off the stock map line for now, until I can get the right cap for the port.
It appears that my truck gets more boost down low or something. I just barely got on it and I looked down at the speedo and I was already going pretty good.
