can the hood pins be removed from the hood of a 1950 ford f1

What do you mean by hood pins? The hinges and spring arms are both bolted on by 1/4" fine thread bolts.

The only pins I can see are on the spring arms that go into "L" brackets on the hood brace to keep the hood open. They are welded to the spring arms. You could grind and drill them out.

im talking about the pins on the hood 2 on each side that hold the hinges on
