A friends of mine has a 04 6.0L with 70,000 miles and the car will not turn over. It sounds fine when cranking it just wont fire/turn over. I plugged in my SCT tuner and got the code P2262 which is the Turbo boost pressure not detected. We drained all the fuel lines and it still is doing the same thing when trying to start. I read in some other posts that there is a filter on the fuel pump but im not sure that the problem is fuel related anymore. The owner said that he is missing a bolt on the turbo so I am wondering if it is sucking air in and if this is causing the problem. Any ideas or help would be great. Thanks
Oh, there are a lot of trucks running around with a bolt missing from the turbo mount.
Check all connections into and out of turbo. What was he doing when he got the code?
he said that he was driving and that the check engine light would come on and go off periodically and that it was running fine. He parked his truck and went out the next morning and it wouldn't start. I plugged in my SCT tuner and read the DTC's and it pulled the code p2262.
