Thanks guys !! These headlights are at least 75% more light on the road compared to stock E99 lights. They came with bulbs in them but they weren't as bright as Sylvania SilverStars that I had in the E99 lights. Well after driving it last night I had to readjust the headlights. As I tried to get them dialed in I found that the optic reflector in the Right headlight was alittle different than the left. Most people would never notice but I am a freak when it comes to details. It just defuses the light a little different. But considering that some 9 yr old in Tiawan made them I can't be that upset and they were 30% of the cost of OEM.
Kinda falls under you get what you paid for. So if you are super picky and have deep pockets buy OEM.
Over all I am very pleased with the look and how they are putting on the road is good, not great but maybe the relay & bulbs Jason was talking about will get me there.
The optics are different in L&R lenses by design. DOT specs create a 'P-shaped' light pattern that directs more light off the side of the road than into on-coming traffic.
You will be blown away by the 80/100's. I swear I have no need for anymore light - and have yet to have someone 'brite-lite' me due to my lights being a nuisance. That's a big deal for me, since I HATE annoying headlights Now, I PUNISH the punks with 10k HID's by holding the high-beam switch back and blasting them with 100+100+80+80 watts!!!

Now that is something I did not know about the DOT and P-shape on the left light. Because that that is kinda the issue I am having with my right headlight. The left one is actually alot flatter than the right. So next I'll try them 80/100's But it will be awhile before I can afford the relay set up. Now do you need the relay set up to get the 100+100+80+80? Or how did you tie the high /lows together?
And I am with you about annoying 10k HID's headlights. It is actually a real problem for me due to my eye sight problems. So I would love to let them see what it is like being on the other end of BRIGHT lights!!
I have to jump in here
Those lights look great on your truck. I have a 2001 and my lights are terrible. I have been looking for alternatives, either something like a 2002 light but those really look good and if they work as good as they look I think I found what I need.
Where did you end up buying them and if you dont mind what was the price.

Well as you have read they work alot better than stock lights but a minor flaw in them or should I say my right headlight. Read back a few posts. And I paid under $170 for Anzo 111080. But since you live in Canada you would want to find a canadian company so you can save on taxs. Chuck before you buy these read the whole tread again since there are alot of good links. Also if you want the best light made buy a factory OEM 02 headlights. But I do like mine they look good on the truck and I can see the road at night.
I put the '02 certifits on mine while it awaits a trans...I've been needing them for a while, but figured what the heck. Total was about 80 for the lights, then another 100 in harnesses and lamps. Crappy pic, but it's dark and cold.
If I had a black truck I like Ed's, but I don't like black and red no chrome, so this seems to fit what I wanted.

Yes, ever since a the first time I saw Jason, or Barney one, a few years back post them, I knew when I finally decided to I would go with them versus build my own. Very simple and well put together. I might have saved a little money building my own, but it was convenient.

Aww shucks... Those guys build a NICE kit and they do it in-house - right here in the USA! They are easy to recommend!!
The drive home from BTS will be an enlightening experience in more ways than one!!!
Thanks for the info.
Just to confirm though, the 2002 OEM lights need a harness so I can hook them up in my 2001. I re-read the thread and see the links and those that have bought the Headlamp Assembly With Composite Headlamp Driver Side Excursion With No-boundaries Package, are happy with them?.
I can get them shipped to Blaine, WA because I just live across the border. We get hosed big time here in Canada with all the taxes.
