door tags
Need a little help if possible. Stopped at the local JY today and found three dents and one bump. What I'm looking for is a little help reading door tags. I'm trying to narrow down my search for rear end gears. The first tag is from a 76 F150 trans stamp is G axle is 14J.
The other one is from an F100 didn't get the year but trans is coded C and axle is 09.

14J: 14 = 9" 3.00-1 without Limited Slip / J = Power Steering.
09 = 9" 3.70 -1 without Limited Slip.
If the AXLE code begins with a letter: Limited Slip / If with a number: No Limited Slip.
G is the A/T code / 1961/78: FoMoCo used the same G code for all A/T's. One had to know which trans was available with what engine.
C = 1966/79 Ford type 3.03 3 speed manual all syncro trans.
Some 1976/79 F100/150's have Dana 44 rear axles. If there's an inspection cover = PASS!
