Question another axle code question

O.K. it's a 79 Bronco (new to me) with 9" rear and the axle code in the door is H2. Other online resources tell me this is a 3750 lb. capacity with a 3.50 ratio but don't indicate if it's limited slip or open.

I checked the the tag on the rear and it says:
WFE-AY 8LD
3L50 9 624A

Does 3L50 in line two indicate a limited slip 3.50?
I've busted something in there and would like to change from open to limited slip if I don't already have it.

The seller swore it was limited slip, but I ran into a guy who worked on it two years ago who swears it was an open diff.

Can anyone tell me what the axle code/tag indicate it should be?
Also, could it have been changed internally from one type to another? How can I tell for sure?
I'd lift the rear end and spin a tire, but it's already broken.

I know it has a dana with manual hubs up front, but how can I tell diff type on that end?

The limited slip clutch pack can wear out and act like an open, the owner probly bought it new and he knows, but the mechanic probly did'nt work on it till the clutch wore out. Now, somebody could have taken out the LS, but unlikely.

3L50 = 3:50 L

You have 3:50 gears with limited slip.

The front D44 is probly open.

I checked the the tag on the rear and it says: WFE-AY 8LD
WFE-AY = 1979 Bronco 9" rear axle / 3.50-1 / 4 pinion Traction-Lok (Limited Slip) / Tapered roller/seal combination wheel bearings / Slim line differential bearings.

8LD = Assembled the 4th week (D) of November (L), 1978 (8).
