spring to shackle bolt
I'm replacing a rear leaf spring on my 85 f150, and it's finally ready for reassembly. Is the front spring to frame bolt supposed to be the same size as the rear spring to shackle bolt? I bought new 5/8" grade 8 bolts, they seemed to fit in the front spring eye, but not the rear. I had to replace the bushing in the rear, the front was ok. Am I just having a hard time getting the bolt in because of the new bushing or is it supposed to be a smaller bolt? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
