Ignition Switch
What should be hot with the acc. position Vs. the run position?
Radio, wipers, gauges, cigar lighter, coil, voltage regulator, ignition module, ect...And does everything cut off in the start position?

Power in Accessory position / In RUN position
Radio = YES / YES
wipers = NO / YES
gauges = ? ? YES
cigar lighter = YES / YES (always powered)
coil = NO / YES
voltage regulator = NO / YES
ignition module = NO / YES
Heater = NO / YES
.And does everything cut off in the start position?
NO, But you will notice a loss of power (spike) when key moved to start, due to the starter needing so much power

So, it's just the radio that works in acc 
I have the wipers, heater, radio, gauges, I don't know about the voltage regulator or ignition module
Where is the voltage regulator at?
Do I have something crossed some where? I fixed my parking lights on with the key prolbem by disconnecting the big green dash light wire from the radio wire.....

Do you have a picture of that BIG green wire?
Does it have some yellow on it ?
Ford used a Green/yellow wire run across the under the dash for courtesy lights.
This would run the glove box light & underdash courtesy lights.
Here is ignition switch trouble-shooting chart.

Thanks for the help and wiring diagram.....
What does the following run?
Acc 1 = ?
Acc 2 = ?
Ign 1 = ?
Ign 2 = ?
P 1 = ?
P 2 = ?
St = Starter and ignition module?
And why is there 2 "Bat" terminals?

The only light I have is a dome light...Controlled by the headlight switch and the door pins....
I have a ranger, not an xlt, but if it never came with one the wire should be there, right?
Is it plugged in with the all black dome light wire? (in the same harness? - Black plug by the headlight switch)
Where is the underdash lights located?
Does the glovebox light have it's own switch?

I'd still like to see this green wire.
If you have the Light package you would know it as it is an option.
You don;t have it.
