Howdy fellas,
The old truck is givin me problems right when my wife's car just shot craps. Here's the skinny: my truck seems to idle rough when I start it up. When I try to take off the motor seems to sputter and stall but never fully dies. It will do that maybe twice and then it won't sputter again until I restart it. It has started idling a little rough-barely noticeable except to me. Also at highway speeds she seems to have bad acceleration. Any ideas?

As burnout400m said, check for codes first.
Also, the year and what size engine/transmission combo you have might help too.
Sounds like the same problem as i was having with my Ranger. Put a fuel pressure gauge on it. If the pressure drops like a rock when you shut the engine off the fuel pump is likely shot. Or the pressure regulator is leaking. In my case the check valve in the fuel pump was leaking.
