I would have told you "around 5,000 pounds"...for free.

 

Many junkyards and town dumps also have those scales where you can weight for free.

 

I am suprised that light. When I took my 98 Explorer 5.0 AWD to the scrap scale it was 5,000# but that was with me!

 

Just an FYI, my 2002 Navigator 4X4, (with two people on board, 3/4 tank of fuel and without the third seat) tipped the scales at 6182 lbs !

 

My 98 expy eb with me and a 1/2 tank weighed 6100 on a scrap yard scale.

 

My 2000 Navigator with me and about 1/2 tank of gas was 6,360 on the DRMO scales here in Chesapeake.

You can't rely on the registration or Ford's advertized weight as they are usually way low and based on the empty shipping weight.

 

My 03 Navi loaded with me (250#) was 6,000 on a concrete scale
