Well, as a lot of you know i put an engine in my 77 f100 a few weeks back but it wasn't up to par, so later today i will start the swap of the 302 with a 429, may take a little while as i have to pull the 302, then pull the 429 then put the 429 in, i will try to take as many pics as possible and maybe record how it runs and everything. Should be fun, thanks ahead of time on the feedbackk
The 429 as it sits in the donor truck i had sittin' at the house.
Donor turck im taking the 429 out of
Engine when i got it out of the donor.
Only got the 429 pulled out today, tomorrow will pull the 302 out and hopefully get the 429 stabbed, then finish everything up next weekend. going to be a huge difference i hopee
So i got some more progress donee got the 302 pulled outt of the truckk to get it ready for the 429
And this is the finished product of my day, got the 429 stabbed.
weekend is over tomorrow for me tomorrow as well as my Dad so will finish hooking up all the little odds and ends to get it fired up throughout the week, will keep you guys up to speed as i get it donee. Only donplay right now is i think the 4bbl is shot from sitting up, so going to buy an adapter plate so i can use my 2bbl on the 4bbl intake until i can buy a 4bbl
Got all the little accessories buttoned up today, PS pump, alternator, fan, carburetor, all those goodies, then i got the core support back on, had to switch the driveshaft knuckle out on the rearend though, because the tranny/engine is out of a 150 so the tailshaft was bigger than the little f100 drive shaft i had, so got the driveshaft/knuckle in, now gotta go get a transmission mount (Mine broke off) since all i got left is the Tmount, bolt the radiator back on, bolt up the exhaust and put the grill back on, i should have her running tomorrow, i'll post a vid when she starts up!
