2wd front shock install

I know its a simple task, but was wondering, WHEN to stop the smashing of the bushings? Seems as though ,you can keep crushing it causing 1 side to have less of a "droop" then the other.

You want to compress them enough that you don't have a lot of travel of the bolt between the washers. They typically come with nylon or staked washers, so just tighten them up to where you see the rubber bushings compress good and call it a day. Maybe 20 - 25% compression or so. If one side is 1/4" different than the other, it won't hurt anything.

It's a bushing. It's job is to move, absorb and compress. You can't really hurt it. Tighten of down enough so the shock is secure, that's all you need.
