My 2000 F150 started knocking, it does this after I get up to speed and let off the gas a bit, it will know as I push on the gas again but if I push heavy on the gas it dose not knock, What could if be? By the way it is a hard knock not a pinging sound.

What is your oil level like? sorry but sometimes it is overlooked
Might be weak COP ( coil on plug), but this usually happen on light acceleration.
& agreed with rsylvstr could be cracked exhaust manifold too
My intuition is the cam chain guides are worn out.
Letting off the throttle causes the crank to change loading on the chains since they are geared to them.
If the tension is not being controlled, the chains just slap around against the front case cover.
You see; the tensioners are operated by oil pressure.
The chains run in non metalic guides.
When these wear down, metal is left besides chain slop.
Good luck.
