Engine knock

Hey guys, when ever I start my truck up on a cold morning the engine will knock for a about a minute then it goes away and sounds fine. Then I usually drive for around 5 minutes and then it will start to tick when I give it just enough gas to maintain speed or when accelerating slowly, if I press on the gas pedal a little bit harder I can hear the sound go completely away, then if I start to let off it starts to come back. Soon as the truck is warmed all the way up, it doesn't tick or at the very most makes a very slight tick that I really have to try and listen for.

Could a leaky exhaust manifold do this? Or what should I look into? The truck is a 94 F150 with a 5.0 auto.

Thanks.

I think your right, there's an exhaust leak somewhere. Might as well see if you can pinpoint it and fix it.
