What type of black 'custom' wheel are you referring to?

It's not a custom wheel from what I see it's a stock wheel painted black. So I guess I will have to powder coat a set?? With a wide white wall tire on it.

Paint 'em black, cheaper than powdercoating, and if you wish, you can paint just the outside, so you don't have to remove the wheels from the truck. This is the way I did it in 1965.

A day after buying a new '65 F100 (March 1965), I painted the white wheels black, replaced the Standard Cab painted dog dish hupcaps with (notaFord) wheel covers.

White truck, white wheels, painted argent dog dishes looked just awful.

But I prefer blackwall tires, 'fat' whitewall tires on trucks, IMO, look out of place and are not "as original."

Passenger Car whitewall width in 1950 was 5 inches, by 1966, it was less than 2 inches. No Ford truck came with whitewalls, if the customers wanted them (very few did), they were dealer installed.

Try Stockton Wheel or Wheel Vintiques. Both on the web.

Black wheels as of 2 months ago. Used a single stage urethane paint.

I powder coated my wheels for $65 each. I bought a set off a 79, and had them powder coated and then swapped them out. Tire places have been nice to me and counter weighted the wheels so there are no weights on the outside of the wheels.
