Awesome score! However, and I'm surprised no one else brought it up- what happens if you need to take it back for warranty stuff? Kinda effed me thinks? Don't mean to be a stick in the mud, but with my X3 I can at least remove the program. Just curious, not looking to pick a fight here. The EB potential is exciting stuff indeed!

Yes you can remove the program but what you can't do is remove the time stamp where you flashed the ECU...those aren't showing in Ford's system so you're out of luck as well same as me. On a side note it doesn't matter because the engines are going to hold up very well and won't need warranty work.

Hate to burst your bubble but you're screwed too. No way to hide the number of flashes to your ECM, and all the Ford dealers know it wasn't done by any of them.

There's only one way to make sure the warranty doesn't become void: LEAVE THE TRUCK STOCK

Didn't the flash dating only start with the 6.2L and the new engine lineup in the 2011 ford?

^^^ Interesting question..., can someone confirm? Now, Chandler- you make me laugh buddy! Debbie Downer, lmao! And like I said, I'm NOT looking for a fight here, just a point of view. I understand I might not have a warranty if something goes wrong and I'm ok with that, my point was all I have to do is unprogram mine. He seems to have some hardware to remove. I'm all about improvements, and yes I also run a tuner. I am not trying to be a hypocrite here. My thinking is that Ford might be looking at the newer engine line-up a little closer, especially the EB, for signs of tinkering. Maybe I'm wrong, but it is a healthy discussion anyway

DIXIEDOG, I agree buddy. We run Fords as fleet vehicles where I work. If I had to guess I'd say we have well over 300 Ford pickups on the road any given day throughout the Mid-Atlantic. I just talked to one Superintendent that now works in MD who has 200k on his 09 F150 SCrew, no problems to speak of. The Super I'm working for has an 09 SCab w/ 150+, no issues. Some of these guys put alot of miles on them, good news is they seem to be holding up. I just had a loaner for 3-4 days while my F150SCab worktruck was getting an OC and some recall door handle thing done. It was an 07 F350 6.0 reg cab with a 10' utility body on it. This thing was a land yacht! I realized I don't really miss the old 6.0 as much as I thought, couldn't wait to get the F150 back for the quiet and comfort.

From what I can recall, the dealership can see when flashes have occurred, but not what the flash was. This dates back into the 04-08 F150s so I do not believe this is something "new".

Heck, if I ever have massive engine trouble...I'm doomed. I flashed mine 3 different times in one week this Spring as Mike Butler and I dialed in the timing on my 93 octane tune.

So that gives you the denialibility factor I'm dumb, I don't know what that was... Doubt THAT one will work huh? lol . I haven't heard of too many engines blowing up from just having ~15hp tune, but one never knows. I know how my luck is... It will probably blow up next time I drive it

The 2009 has the older 5.4L engine. Those aren't the newer 5.0 or Ecoboost.

QwkTrip- I'm well aware that he has a "newer" engine. I was responding to this quote from DIXIEDOG regarding the statement in red. It doesn't say anything about which engine. I was commenting on the reliability in general of the F150 engine lineup. I just double-checked, and this IS the 09-up F150 forum
