I just bought F350 that was used on a farm. That means it's rough.....windows down, around grain bins, in the field in the dust, etc. I have an air condition problem. The A/C blows cold, but down not blow hard enough. The control says wide open and the fan sounds like it's wide open, but it's blowing about like it was let to the lowest speed.
So, before I take it in I was going to see what you guys thought. Here's my thought and/or question: I was thinking of taking an air compressor and blow down the vents or blow under the dash....or find the fan and blow it out. Any other suggestions or comments?
Here's what I have done so far:
1. Checked the air filter (the gauge on the side says it's okay). I have not taken it out and looked real close. Could that be causing the problem?
2. Pressure washed the radiator.
Ford says it's the evaporator coil, which is a $900 project since it's behind the dash. I'm trying to trouble shoot before that happens.
