Power Steering Upgrade
I have the optional power steering in my 78 f-250. I want to make a street prowling race truck but to do that I want a modern steering assembly and was wondering what that would take. I have a 460 engine so clearance needs to be taken into account. Thanks!

IMO, it would take alot. You're starting off with the wrong truck due to extra weight from the long wheelbase and higher unsprung weight.
You're better starting off with a shortbed half-ton (F100/F150) with a 460/C6, Mustang II-style or Crown Vic front end, rack N pinion steering backed with a Ford 9-inch and traction bars, ladder, bars, or a 4-link.
