6.0 Powerstroke

Ive got an 04 F250 with a 6.0 Powerstroke and would like to know what the best programmer would be to put on it and is there one that would help fuel mileage.

Don't expect much help in fuel economy from a programmer.

What mileage do you get now?

Best tuner: SCT w/ custom tunes from a variety of places (Gearhead, Elite, etc).

I have not put a tuner on mine nor a scangauge but all the wiser gents than I have advised me that the way you drive affects fuel economy more than anything else. I have been told several times that the highest HP will give the best fuel economy IF you keep your foot out of it. As soon as cash flow permits I am going to get a scangauge II to train my right foot and then get a SCT tuner to get a few more mpg's from a few more horses. The danger lies in those really fun stomps that will lead to new head gaskets and ARP studs!
