auto light sensor does not activate headlights
2004 f-150. When I put the light switch in "auto" position and it gets dark, only the parking lights come on. The headlights do not come on. The headlights work when I put the switch in the "on" position, however. This makes no sense to me. Any suggestions as to the problem?

Not sure if you've found an answer or not but the fix for this on my 05 f-150 was the BSM box behind the rear seat had a loose wire. Since I've fixed the loose wire the automatic headlights work as advertised. Hope your fix is this easy.
