I need a new truck and was going to order a 2013 F350 6.2. I have heard rumors that the Super-Duty line is scheduled for a major make-over for 2014. Any truth to the rumor? Should I wait?
Don't know about that rumor...but I try to avoid first year models. Which puts a new SD until 2015 at the earliest.
In other words...GO purchase the 2012 or 2013...and enjoy! Good luck...

Well said! Avoid first year models at all cost. I bought an 08 with a 6.4... Bad bad news. At the time, I also had purchased an 08 Skidoo snowmobile (first year platform).... More bad news. I will never buy another first year model again. I don't care what it takes to avoid it. Engineering is my trade..... I should know better too
No problems here either, and I love my truck. Would do it all over again if needed. There will always some trucks with problems, just hope you don't get one of them.
Over at PSN there is a guy that claims he builds the interiors for the superduty and he has worked on the new redesigned one...The one that he says is coming out in 2016.He also says that he doesn't like the looks of the new design but they built it for fuel economy.
True or not,I don't know.I'm just the messenger...
Only a select few know what their plans are, and unfortunately I'm not one. ha ha. It seems the natural progression is to bump up the power while maintaining or achieving better mpg's.
The V10 started out at 275hp for the '99's, then got bumped up to 310hp for '00-'05, then the 3v hit in '05, bumping it up to 362hp.
Matt,Do you think Ford will come out with a 3V 6.2?
IMHO...the next 6.2L variant will not be a 3V head, but I'm thinking it will be stroked out...and possibly bored out too. At that same time...adding the 3V to the mix.
