ok i went and crawled under the truck and took a much closer look at the front and rear differentials and this is what I came up with.
front 3.50 DYTA-AJA
603482 3
rear WDM-BA 4HA
3.50 9 316A 4D11
Can you tell me what they are? I'm thinking that the 4D11 means, 4-11 gears?

Wow. I thought ya said there wern't any metal tags..Your numbers are stamped on both front and rear axles? That's kinda rare. I assume ya decoded the BOM #603482-3.. it's on page 52 of Dana publication X510 - 8 D SD.
The "WDM-BA" code tells me it's Ford 9-inch... 3.50 gears.. 4D11 is the date of manufacture and means:
4 = 1974
D = April
11 = Day of the Month
If the tag read 3L50.. then it would mean 3.50 gears with Traction-Lok... But you've got an open or "peg leg" rear end. An inexpensive option for a locker for your axle is Richmond's Powertrax or Lock-Rite.. around $450 plus installation.
yeah when I got all the way under the truck with a little wire brush one tag was bolted at both ends of the tag, and under grease. the other tag was just flat and under grease. So I missed them the first time. Pluss I took a flash light this time. Only the 4D11 was stamped.
I'm going to look on the other truck tomorrow and see what those units are.
Wow HIO Silver. Thanks alot for the help.
