truck runs rought, no power, only smoke i get is black and it just puffs nothing too bad there, started on my way home last night i was able to limp it home but just now got to a code reader from orilys i barrowed
codes are-
P1316= injector driver module code detected, continuous
P1211= injector control preasure above/below desired
P0541= i took it out for my boost gauge sensor just aint got the gauges in yet but sensor is there
fired it up this mornin and it knocks and knocks it sounds like gave it a little throttel for a little bit then it got smoother just kinda acts like it has a cam loping
do any of these codes cancel one out? like because there is one causing issues it throwing another and where exacley should i start first?
not yet i needed the truck right then and disnt have time to find and cut a quarter but i gotta go back in soon and do a CCV delete and new orings on the dog house and probley GP testing if not replaced, we thought it was the IDM cuz the code was reading it so my friend pulled one out of his truck and that disnt work and it was modded to the 140V, on the passenger side i did find a bad injector wire were it plugs into the VC tho
Like your assumption the P1316 was caused by other codes "stored in the IDM" At least you had another to test it with before replacing. Better readers will pull the codes stored in the IDM by a KOEO test or BUZZ test.
i know i really need one but i gotta get the $800 bundel i need more then just ford lol plus a laptop :-/ but who knows when il get that i also need it really bad for the OBS too
it wasnt fun but neather is the other 8hrs of the day being a diesel mechanic for the city
