Vacuumed it out, put in a back seat, painted the air cleaner housing and pulled the top off.

Paint! I got my front axle taken apart and sandblasted, primed, and finally shot the small parts with some industrial Imron this evening. Man that felt good! Assembly is only a week away!

Tried to start the Bronco after a year to no avail... I'll have to check the timing very thoroughly.

I replaced the distributor, the new one might be off even though I marked the spots, so that's why I suspect that might be the cause. Initially the truck was running but there was a very noticeable missfire, the first suspect was the PIP sensor, so the distributor was replaced. I'll list what else is new or has been recently replaced: The fuel pump is new, the sparkplugs and cables, the IAT, the TPS, the ICM, all of those are new. The fuel injectors were tested and cleaned, the throttle body was cleaned. The ECM was also rebuilt.

Been a while since I last posted. Have been fighting a chirping belt. Finally found the power steering pump pulley not lined up (my fault) Got it pulled and lined with a straight edge. Removed the crooked Ford Motorsports air pump delete pulley bracket and installed a billet one from LMR. Lines much better!! Had to run a slightly smaller belt. Installed a new water pump as the temp runs up a bit while idling in traffic or while on the interstate??? Thought maybe the water pump impeller might have been rotted/rusted off some. It wasn't.
Any ideas??? I have a new radiator (NAPA/Spectra), new head gaskets, new thermostat housing and 160 thermostat and new water pump. Doing the same thing!! I'm at a loss!
Anyway.......has been running very good since the head gasket job!

Bronks R notoriously hot under the hood, therefore:
make sure U gotta shroud,
fan is '1/2 in it & 1/2 out of it'.
U did a good full system flush.
timing is S P O T on.
U could swap out inner fenders for the 'fender grills' (oneada typical after mrkt bronk vendors sells em).
swap out thermostat winter/summer (lower/higher).
antifrz/anti boil is 50/50%.
no radiator clogs.
H2O pump is 4 an a/c vehicle.

Can't stress Zeroin in da timing enuff...

5.8
160 t-stat
new 50/50 coolant
shroud/fan....check!
I will recheck the timing....but pretty sure it's right on....had to put in a new distributor with the head gasket job.
Doesn't get hot, but can definitely see the temp rise in heavy traffic and while sitting. It is summer and it gets scorching hot here in SW Florida!!
