I believe that is a brush guard, used on 4x4's so when you go off road into a place that has has alot of small trees and brush, it pushes them over helping keep them away from grille and raditaor area...I could be wrong, but I believe that's what it is, you don't have a full picture of it do you?

It looks like what I call a Pre-Runner bar. Like Wayneo says, its basically a push bar, but they are designed to replace the bumper and used on 2wd models a lot.
Try these. It should work, as the frame is the same for 2wd/4wd and aren't the Mazda's the same frame as the Rangers? I don't about that. That's not my area.
