fuel

i think i mighjt have found what could be hurting my fuel milage .after i wash my truck the front wheels are covered in brake dust i think my brake calibers are bad.

Grease the slide pins if you think they are sticking.

When you drive the truck feel down next to the hubs. Compare both sides. How hot are they?

You can buy an infrared temp gauge for like $25. I use it to spot check my wheels when I stop for fuel. They're usually around 110 degrees running on the interstates.

Ford replaced both my front calipers at 5 months/7000 mi. The left caliper is apparently a problem according to the service writer - an assumption he made after learning it was on nation-wide back order. In the left caliper, one piston had cracked and the right was dragging.
