Brake question

Hey guys I have noticed this problem a bit but didnt think much of it till today. When going down a hill around 30-35 mph while on the brakes it seems to pulsate. Im wondering what I could do to fix this? I was thinking front brakes but they didnt look all that bad. I dont know how old they are but they dont look bad. Also I know I need a front end alignment, which is the next thing on the list of to do things. So I was just woindering if the pulsating from the front end or the brakes or what? Any help would be great, Thanks

Sounds like your front rotors may be slightly warped. Can be resurfaced if they are not too thin all ready. If you have worn/loose steering components, it could make the pulsation worse.

This. Have them check the rotors and turn them if necessary(and possible) When you get the alignment done.

Thanks guys. The rotors didn't look bad but I might have them turned when I get the alignment. Do the rotors have to be off the truck to be turned?

There are on car lathes to resurface rotors on vehicle. The one I have access to doesnt fit my truck. 94 2wd. Other types of lathes would fit. You can check the rotors with a dial indicator to see if they are warped.

I was going to change my rotors and looking for the best prices and all when I thought of something that i was wondering could cause my brake problem. My back drums the lips are starting to rot away would this cause them to pulsate and act up when braking? I notice it seems like the truck warms up or gets hot while driving in a short time and thats when it becomes noticable. I drive about 12 miles to work and I start to notice it about 2-3 miles down the road and its light braking but it seems to get worse as I go farther and longer. Any help would be great. If its the rotors I have no problem replacing them just want to fix it not just dump money I dont have into something when i could wait.
