speedo drive gear
I have a 91 f150 straight six 5 speed 4 wheel drive. Borg Warner 1345 t case. I am needing the spedo drive gear the old one is pretty chewed up. I have the gear out its a 8 tooth yellow. I think I have the correct ford part # is E1TZ17285A. Every where I look there are out of stock. Ford says its a discontinued item. Any one have an idea where to find this gear?

Do you have any U-Pull-It junkyards near you? You wouldn't be the first one to disassemble a transmission there - probably just need to remove the tail-housing, which could be done in place.

I was thinking about getting the 1.375 gear and getting machine shop the machine the inside out to fit the sleeve. It says its a Muncie 8 tooth steel. From my understanding that is the gear for the heavy duty ford trucks.
