2003 Ranger Supercab - CD Player Load Error
I just purchased a used 2003 Ford Ranger Supercab and have a problem with the 6-disc CD Player not loading cds. There are NO cds in the player and when you try to load one it states "LOAD ERROR" even for every slot that you choose. Any help in resolving this issue would be appreciated.

Could be any number of issues. Dust can keep the laser from reading the disc - this can sometimes be remedied with blowing it out with canned air. The loading mechanism can cause issues if it's not "grabbing" the disc well enough to load it all the way. A sensor might not be working right. It's sometimes difficult to tell what's going on unless you tear it apart and look...

Terry, thanks for your help. The canned air did the trick. I sprayed the air in for 10 to 15 seconds and then inserted the CD. It did not work right away , but after repeating this procedure a couple times it worked. Thanks again for the suggestion. SHC
