Remove DEF System only without Tuning?

This did work on 2009-2010 Mercedes diesels-would keep the def system happy (and vehicle going down the road) but you would have a CEL because nows theres no urea to break down the NOX and, well thats the point of a nox sensor is to see that the job is getting done. Software was changed(and recall issued) to that after a def refill ecu had to see the def system working to even acknowledge it was filled. If our Fords are the same (Bosch supplies both injection systems), theres no actual sensor, "contanimated def" message is what the ECU spits out when all its eletrical inputs and outputs seem fine to it but not seeing needed results from the nox sensor.

Seems like a lot of effort just to remove DEF/SCR. If you are going to throw your warranty and do that much messing around you might as well get rid of the DPF and the EGR too. At least that way you'll get some mpg to offset your money and effort in desmogging.
