Help! Excursion 7.3 keeps shutting down

There appears to be a rash of IPR coil failures lately. Happened to me last week...
I replaced the coil with a known good unit and the truck has been running like a beast ever since. (Thank you Tom for the loaner and Robin for the replacement...).
I ohmed the coil when I removed it and the reading was all over the place. The replacements measured 10.6 and 11.2 ohms respectively. A few days later I ohmed my original coil and it read 11.1 nice and steady...no variations.
I applied some heat and the reading didn't change. I had a spare connector so I rigged up the meter so the connections were solid and placed the coil on top of my vibrating tumbler. At first nothing changed but eventually the readings began to fluctuate. So perhaps vibration is the culprit...
