I have a 2012 F-250 diesel with 800 miles on it and every so often there is a delay when I put the truck in reverse. I put the truck in reverse and after about 5-8 seconds the transmission will finally grab and gives a good tug; especially if you happen to have your foot on the pedal while it engages. Like I said, it doesn't happen all the time. Anybody have this issue? This is my first diesel so any help would be appreciated.
Mine has a delay if I'm not completely stopped (rolling forward) or if I don't have my foot on the brake, but other trucks I've had did the same thing.
I'm surprised this is still happening with the 12's. I would think you already have it, but there is a new transmisson programing for the new duties. You should post this is the 6.7 section, heard of this problem a few times in that section.
I've noticed a little bit of delay when going from Park to Reverse but nothing near 5 - 8 seconds. That definitely needs to be checked at the dealership.
