Hey guys! So my current situation is this: the other day I just started up my truck and took off down the road. Didn't think it should warm up since it was about 70 degrees outside. I get about a mile down the road, and it starts actin like it was choking. Lost power, and it would die if I hit the clutch. Wouldn't turn over with cranking, and if I clutch started, it would only stay running until I hit the clutch again. This whole time there's a huge cloud of white smoke pouring out of the exhaust, so thick I couldn't see anything else in my mirrors. I pulled into a parking lot and it died, so I sat there and cranked for a good minute (with breaks every 15-20 seconds so I didn't overheat the starter). Finally got it to turn over, and just say there idling for about 10 minutes. After that it ran fine, but now my fuel pressure gauge is maxed all the time. Come payday I'm replacing the filter, but I'm wondering if maybe there's a blockage in the fuel system somewhere? What do you guys think it sounds like?
Btw, I know it has at least 2 bad glow plugs, you think that might be a factor?
Yeah, it hasn't done it since, but my fuel pressure gauge is still maxed ever since then. I'll stick a stick gauge on there and double check though. After all, they're glow shift gauges, so it may be possible it just don't work... Lol
