How are you checking for amp draw? Are you using a multi meter and just putting it on the battery terminals?

My multimeter has an amp function. Leads are placed between the battery terminal and positive power wire with both batteries disconnected.
Snake- was your .50A after the 15 min PCM draw or before?
Timmy- I'm trying to diagnose if my draw is significant or not. I will have a brand new alternator and batteries this time around...

i just clap it around the leads for the batt i did both grounds and the hots.
my truck has not run all day i unlocked the doors with the fob then pulled the hood and checked it. dont know if that tuns on the pcm.

The 1999 Ford workshop manual says key off draw with all doors closed and no accessories should not exceed .05A.

I have a sneaking hunch that my head unit is the enemy. I REALLY don't wanna pull it out since I had to remove half my dash to get it in!
If DC Power Inc. would ever ship my alternator, I'd start putting it back together. Oh ya, when it says "in stock" on their website.... it really means nothing. A week and a half later it still hasn't shipped and still says in stock even though the CS reps says they are backordered.
