Ken, another question on your frame if you don't mind. Did you box it, or was it already done when you got it?

One nice thing about the 35-41 Frame, Gas Tank is at the rear of Frame. where 42-47 your siting on it just like the Model "T,s".

Also some of the beds were different sizes, for good info on that go to Mack Hll, google that one their in Moberly MO. they sspecialize in Pickup beds & parts for same.

Northern Classic im MI. is another good reference.

That front end looks like an early fifties Chevy car front end ('48 - 54?). I'd use something better / newer. But if you want to keep it low budget it will do.
You don't need a panhard bar with parallel leafs as long as you don't get crazy with fat lowering blocks.

Josh, I don't know.... It may work but I've got to say that I'd go over it very carefully before you fully commit to using it. There's a lot we can't see from the photos, quality of welds, clearances for mount, etc. It may be fine but I'm generally leery of someone's "one off" setup for a front suspension. There's some important geometry there that needs to be right. Maybe someone with more experience with these kind of grafts will chime in and provide more insight.

Honestly, Ken, the more I've researched it while waiting to go pick up the frame, the more I've been leaning towards the Mustang II front end from Progressive Automotive. On top of everything else, I got the wonderful chance to ride in the 47 Ford truck of a guy that lives about a block away from me and he has the PA MII IFS on his. The damned thing rode like a new car in my opinion and was a joy to ride in. I just don't know if it's worth trusting that front end and possibly getting the whole thing together before I realize it has to come out. I want to do this truck right the first time and have something I can trust with my daughters driving. The more I look at those pictures, the more I'm not sure if I even like the rear suspension. I'm looking forward to picking it up and getting to go over it in person.

I think a "pass" is the smart move and I believe you'll be very happy with a MII. Re: your question about my 40/41 frame, yes its fully boxed. Most of the plates were tacked in when I picked up the project so I did the finish welding. I probably wouldn't have done a full box if it hadn't come with the project, but it does provide some extra security.
