So being a nice guy. I took my truck in to get the oil changed, tires rotated etc before I turn it over to the new owner.
Service came and got me and said "You've got the start of an Upper Oil Pan leak" It's not much, hasn't been puddling on my garage floor. But you could see the oil on the front of the pan.
Dang I don't want to deal with that just as I getting the truck sold.

Anybody else dealt with that on a 6.7L engine? What's involved in fixing the leak and what warranty might it fall under.?

I do not like snakes. One thing I hated about living in the south. Snakes.
We don't want to hear Roy sing. Heidi would join in and they would sound like a pack of coyotes.

Think I'll just wait for Black Friday and see what Dash Cams and hitches go on sale. Only two weeks away, I might as well gamble that something will go on sale.

Maybe the snakes would leave when Roy hits the high notes!! Maybe the oil leak is a Friday the 13th thing?

My grandfather's riding lawn mower didn't. Who knew you couldn't pop a wheelie on a rear engine riding lawn mower? I sure didn't, but I gave it my best shot. Right up until the drivetrain fell out.

Andre'
During my quick walk around I noticed the Fog lights are now just a row of LEDs. It looks like there is space under them where the regular lamp used to sit that you could put cube for a driving light or a second fog light. Have you looked into that? When I actually get the truck, I'll have to look at the dimensions and see what might fit.
I never have enough light when hauling horses down mountain roads with cow open grazing along the edge of the road. A Black Angus just disappears into the darkness of the night.

On 1st gen 6.7s it's a cab off repair, book time is pushing 20hrs. Can't imagine it's much different on yours....

I'm thinking I could cut that plastic and drop in a 2" flush mount light like this on each side to help flood the edges of the road and then put a bigger light bar dead center that is a spot or driving light to illuminate way down the road.

From what I can see online. It's not a cab off. But it does require you to pull the tranny. It's showing about 5 hours. Seems to be a common problem on 17-18 engines where the robots put the silicon on the pan. The robot missed the corners.

What I'm really wondering, is if the 100,000 engine warranty covers the oil pan leaking?

Evening all. The 17 year old female in our hunting group got a nice 4 point black tail today. She was using one of my 54 cal muzzleloaders with 90 grains of Triple 7 black powder substitute in a driving rain storm. Unfortunately when she shouldered the rifle she got the knuckle on her thumb a little close to her cheek. She now has a red cheek and her dad just called and said she has a pretty good black eye to go along with it. I guess her boy friend is teasing her enough that he may end up with two black eyes.
Four day elk hunt starts in the morning. My elk camp is set up in my living room.

I'd sure hope so, the oil pan is a critical part of the engine and that includes leaks.
