California is now trying to ban OREOS!!! What next......
Just heard on Fox news that california is trying to ban oreos because of the fat they contain. They are also hunting down the fast food industry.......
You have got to be Kidding me. I can't believe this. Some people act like the population of the US is Ignorant. If I want to eat something and get fat. Thats my baby not some group of crybabies that just want to complainand make things harder for me.If I want to I will eat burger King and clean my guns on the front porch of my house when ever I want. Its my choice not anyone elses.
What will they do next say I can't drive because I could get killed? Or that I can't farm because inhaling dirt will give me cancer?
i wander where this world is going to be when my kids are my age.

The trans fats mentioned are responsible for a tremendous amount of obesity in children, as artificial fats cannot be correctly dealt with, by the body.
I think it is a law suit, not the California legislators.
Well it's about time.
Anything that good should be a sin or illegal. If Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, the Pope, and Bill Bennett refuse to take a position and make it a sin, they by gosh, somebody should declare them illegal. The company saw this coming, that's why they came up with the Uh-Oh Oreos!
Wait, if they are outlawed, they may taste even better. I can't win!!
you know heaven forvid people should make choices on their own. Help me I'm a stupid little American I need you to feed me. (she says sarcasticall) Jeeze you know I hate to tell these people but I like making my own decisions and if I desire to eat more I will and if I become fat because of it then it's my problem. People need to quit blaming their weaknesses on big business, other people and a lack of self control. I have Two words for those kind of people, GROW UP! the same goes for people who smoke and drink it's their choice they need to live with the consequences. No, I'm not being judgemental I have indulged myself in all three.
Maybe I can supplement my income by selling dime bags of Oreo's to children on playgrounds. I'll drive a black and white fudge covered Cadillac on dubs.
Isn't it great that we live in a society where people that are actually supposed to be adults can use children like a human shield to avoid confronting and dealing with unpopular subjects? I suppose that since I oppose this frivilous lawsuit that I will be branded a kid hater. This lawsuit needs to be dropped fast!!!!After all, just like MickeyD's, nobody forces someone to buy and eat Oreo cookies.
When I was a kid there wasn't much on tv, there were no VCR/DVD player, no nintendos, no gameboys, etc etc. Therefore, we actually got to PLAY like a kid, and got lots of exercise doing it. Today, with all of the electronic pacifiers for kids, it doesn't surprise me one bit that i see these little "sawed off tree stumps" waddeling around my town.

I bet if we look into it, these folks are the same ones who refuse to take responsibility and rear their children correctly. They expect the school systems, the government, and everyone else, but THEMSELVES to do it. Teach you darn curtain climbers to eat correctly and nutrionally.
Enough of that.
If they outlaw Oreos, what about Hydrox, the inventor of the creme filled sandwhich cookie?
Just like that blickity blick up in Oregon or Washington that got the Pledge of Allegiance taken out of the schools.
CowboyBilly9Mile pretty much summed it up for me!!!!
If you don't want your kids to get fat then don't feed them Cheeseburgers and Oreos every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are these people really that stupid?? I guess they are.
This stuff makes me sick! No one wants to be responsible for there own actions anymore. Everyone has to blame someone else! What is this world gonna be like in another 20 years???
I like Oreo's. I will take all your unwanted paackages. Please send me the new kind they have out now since I havn't tried them yet but I'm sure my tummy will luv em!!
You have to love my home state. Why do you other states constantly send us you nutty people? I apologize for the idiots that now reside in my state.
But you know the worst part, $26BILLION in debt and my taxes have to go to pay some clerks and a judge to see this case because some idiot lawyer filed this ******* suit.
Why do New jersey have all the toxic waste and California has all the lawyers?
New Jersey got first pick!!
Well if the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia bans Oreo's, we all know Konnecticut will soon follow. I'd like to bring up a suit against Kali for making me read all this crap in the paper and causing me stress. I'd be willing to bet there's more than a few snake lawyers out there that would take this case.
I'll bet there will be a hell of a market for mail order Oreo's. (Shipped in plain brown paper packaging.)
They'll probably have Oreo check points with police in riot gear equipped with MP5's and German Shepards specially trained to sniff out cookies.
Hey BobbyL, what are those, double stuffed 22's you got there.

I went to their website yesterday and sent them an email asking them to define their arguement. I also stated that I believe that the parents were the ones responsible for their children's eating habits. I am sick of these useless lawsuits. For those interested, their website is www.bantransfat.com
