Its a pretty big class around here and is at all the county fairs I was wondering what kind of mods would need to be done and if our trucks could be competitive in this class with out extreme mods? I'm a little ways off being able to pull but maybe next year.
I'm going to guess that around Ohio there are probably a bunch of 2.6 trucks that are around 800-1000hp.. You would probably have to build your truck pretty hot to hold your own in that kind of class. Around here, the 2.6 classes aren't near that hot. Someone could probably compete with around 550-650hp in the 2.6 class around here if the truck is set up right.
The 2.6 class has become rediculous.
800 hp if you don't want to be last place.
...And there aren't many Fords pulling around here anymore. Like basically - 0 -...
Find ways to get into the work-stock class. I'm not suggesting to cheat, just twist the rules in your favor and have fun.
At their full flow? Yes...for about 30 seconds The stock turbo wouldn't hold a candle to them lol. However, you can have your chip of choice tuned down so they wont flow fully and allow you to use the turbo until you get an upgraded one, at which time you'd get retuned to make use of the bigger injectors.
Hopefully someone else can chime in with an answer. As far ad i know, just about all turbos that can handle stage 3's require different style mounts like the t4, t4I, etc. im not sure if you could count those as stock appearing lol. Plus, youll need e-fuel to flow the fuel, which wouldnt be stock appearing i suppose.
That's what I was thinking but I would want to make it healthy and with a d66 id have to keep a real close eye on my egts wouldn't I because off its exhaust side?
