i counted the flashes. i did get the ecu out and looked trough there is one cap that leaked.

Good job !!!

Now, you do know the ECU HAS TO either be repaired or replaced at this point.....right ?????

If you decide to do the repair route, replace all three of the capacitors.
The other two aren't long for this world.

thanks! i plan to just buy a new ecu. Thanks for all the help and information, i would of never thought the ecu was bad. Now FTE is my favorite site!!!!

Even though you have a leaking capacitor it may not be the "magic bullet" you are looking for. Repair what you know is bad, then move onto the next step.
