High Idle Mod

First let me say... I love you guys (but not in THAT way). While searching for something completely unrelated, I noticed someone mentioning a High Idle Mod. I'd never heard of it so I abandoned whatever it was I was looking for and started researching this Mod.

I had no idea this was pre-wired and just sitting there waiting for me to hook it up. Reps sent to Serapis for explaining this painfully simple procedure. Took me all of 5 minutes start to finish. The wiring harness was even factory labeled in case you weren't sure which bundle to look for.

Now I have high idle whenever I need it and it's all thanks to FTE. You guys rock!

for me, i got the latest flash, and my high idle actually kicks in when the ambient temperature is too cold outside. all i gotta do is tap my brake and it'll just let off. strange but i noticed it at the most recent winter. it wasn't too cold, but cold enough for it to kick in. i think it's about 50 or 55 degrees is when it'll kick in. i could be wrong.

or maybe i'm just babbling about something else. lol.

Thanks for the link, I have a 05 Exursion (no upfit Switches) and this idea would work great!

That's original to all 6.0L trucks when the amibent is below 40F and the oil temperature is below 160F. As soon as the oil gets up to 160F the engine won't idle up. Now the High Idle will remain at 1200F until your shut it off, tap the brake pedal or the truck runs out of fuel.

6.0 Excursions don't have the wires in harness from the factory, but you can add what you need. Click
