i just recently purchased the CS and was wondering when watching the shift pattern why is there a lock next to the 4 when im on the hwy and when im on a long strecth on the road it has a 3 with a lock. what does this mean?? i have a 02 V10

Probably TC lock

Yup, sounds like torque converter lockup.

Yep, Torque Converter Lock. TCL. I have the same unit.

Question is, why can your truck only handle 3rd gear on a long stretch of road?

my bad it hits 4th at time but a majority of the time it is in 3rd
