Well i've been replacing this and that but i cant seem to find out where this buzzing noise is coming from! It rarley does it when the aircondition is on so it must be a vacuum leak, as far as replacing i replaced all the hoses and elbows on the passenger side and Pvc valve, also on top of the intake Man. what i was wondering is there a PVc valve on the right side of the engine? This noise is driving me Nuts!!!
You don't say if you hear it while moving/stopped. If moving fast/slow. I bring this up because I had a buzz but only at highway speeds. Turned out the cowl (between hood and windshield) was loose near the driver's side. Your pic also shows a bra. Could that be vibrating at highway speed?
If you hear it while parked, never mind.
Are you saying you replaced the PCV on the passenger side valve cover? My PCV was worn out and literally spinning in the plastic housing causing the buzzing sound.
My 2002 Navi does the same thing. But only when it is below 20 degrees out! If you put your hand on the 5.4 box when it is making the noise you can feel the box vibrate violently! (Feels like one of those foot massage things you see at the county fairs!)
Looking inside the box there appears to be two overlapping plastic 'parts' right where the PCV fresh air supply (driver's side of the engine) connects to the back side of the box. I'm thinking that at the right temperature the air gets in between the two layers of plastic and sets up the high pitched vibration/buzzing noise. It only makes this noise at idle and if I up the rpms by as little as 50 rpms it goes silent.
ok well got a Volant air intake today and still does it i am lost!
:i've been reading and i think i know what it might be, IAC sensor but i have replaced it a while back and it didnt do the buzzing noise when i replaced it, but why would it do it again? do I need to tighten the screws more?i have cleaned it its less then 5-6month old
