Just saying hi. I have ,I belive, a 1965 F-100 4X4 that is a mix and match of parts. I put a 1976 9in rear end in it and am still trying to figure out what is under the front, the transfer case is divorced. I think it has a 352 in it that I am going to replace with a 390 from a crashed 1967 ford custom 500. I think it has what you guys call the wrong bed on the back. I am thinking about building a flatbed for it but my other half thinks I should keep the one the on it has on it now. I call it frankinstine because I can tell someone started the mix and match before I did because the box is red, the cab and front fenders are green and the hood is white.
Umm... need some help. I cant seem to figue out how to get them on here
I believe you have to have 25 posts before you can post a pic to a thread. I think you may be able to post pix to your profile and direct people there to see them.
And let me say hello always interested to see pix of what people are doing with these trucks out there. Sounds like a factory 4wd just putting better body parts on it does not make it a frankenstien truck. In my humble opinion anyway.
How can I tell if it was? It has the twin I beam bage and from what I have been told that is from a 2WD. Before I put the new axle under it the rear axle was, if i remebmer right, 2 1/2 inches wider than the rear. Since I have put the '76 axle under it has lined it up.
I cant get the pictures to load on the site at all. I think its an over load on size because i took the pictures with my mothers camera. The camera is a very high quality camera abd the pictuer iz 5432 pixes by 5674 pixels. can anyone help me resize them?
Simple resizing can be done in Microsoft Paint. Open the image there, and under the "image" menu select resize. For here I would use 20% or so. Then save the image.
Ok finally got everything fugured out. Here are the pictures Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - Frankinstine's Album: Frankinstene . If you want to see something more exact let me know and I will get it up as quick as I can. It should be much faster now that I know what I;m doing.
From the knowledge that I've gained from reading stuff on this site, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, the grill is from a '66 and the fenders are from a 2wd as the openings are smaller.
