1997 powerstroke problems

The OBS F350s didn't have a convertor. The older SDs 250 or 350 didn't either. Is it throwing any codes? Sounds like maybe the HPOP isn't making pressure if it is doing it worse under power. The map sensor may not be seing boost either. That can be the sensor or turbo boost or drive pressure leaks. Usually though turbo problems just seriously hampers power, not cuts out. Sure the UVC harnesses are ok? You can slip a feeler gauge under the armature of each injector next time you are under the covers. If they are worn out they will have very little clearance between the armature and the body. Any way you can get a sound bite of it cutting out?

I changed the CPS and now it run like a raped ape!! It had a grey one with a gold looking plate and it had 3 holes in the end of it and the new one had no holes in it and silver plate.Thank You Guys for all the help
