can anyone tell me of the benefits or issues of the regulated fuel return kits?

no fuel starvation on individual injectors.
air in system is more easily purged.
you are regulating pressure AFTER the
injectors, rather than before, so everything
before the pressure regulator will be fed
at the set point pressure.

Thanks for the input! Everything I have read sounds good...except for the install.

The install isn't that bad IF you get the right kit, but you should still plan a whole day. I did mine in about 5 hours and that includes dragging out all my tools and cleaning up the work area.

MY opinion on the matter is that if you're running a stock truck then leave the fuel system alone (besides doing the blue spring upgrade). It really has no purpose other than to regulate the fuel pressure manually. If you're planning on horsepower upgrades then do the exhaust and fuel AFTER you do gauges and proceed from there.

You are forgetting that it does away with the dead-heading design on these trucks. Which is known to cause some fuel starvation issues on even stock trucks.

I have noticed my EGR valve is damp and I'm losing a little coolant. My truck has 150000+ miles, so I decided to do studs, EGR cooler, oil cooler relocation, bypass filters, etc. and decided this would be the time to see if the regulated return was worthwhile. I am going to take a week of "vacation" to do it. I should have fun because I can't pull the cab and can't afford the adapter to pull the engine along with all of the parts. I am going to search for a thread on pulling the heads with the engine in the vehicle, cab on. Not looking forward to it.
