Is the sensor that controls the tach located next to the oil fill neck? If so what do the parts houses list it under? Can't find it on Napa's site.

 

Yes and parts stores or stealerships will not have them. The have been obsoleted....you might find one at junkyard, but I just use Isspro electronic.

 

dealers can still get them and that is the ONLY place to get them these days.......other than a junk yard.

 

I replaced my sensor awhile back. I got mine at the ford dealer for a little more than 80$.

Bought one a few months ago at the stealership for 72

 

I went to my local Ford Stealership last year and the parts house "lazy hound-dog" convinced me the tach sensor that screws into the housing was no longer available! That rat! I would much rather have that sensor since I know my tach gauge works.

I think I will try to order one with the part number listed.
