1000 miles ago my truck had a EGR Cooler/ OIl Cooler replace due to delta of 23ish.... Since then I have been running a coolant filter from sinister. I know the ford dealer that did the cooler did a VC-9 flush and a tap water flush and then filled with coolant and tap water... This week I noticed a pin hole leak from my radiater so I ordered a new one from Ford and plan on doing that this weekend. My question is really this... Should I fill the truck up with distilled and do the full flush procedure followed by a filll. I was thinking that since...
1. I have a coolant filter
2. 1000 miles ago it was flushed.
3. Cheaper...
I was planning on draining the coolant and then fillin with new coolant mixed with distilled instead of tap....
Is tap water really that bad that I need to get everydrop off it of the engine till the next scheduled flush?
