coolant flush question
Hey guys i just did a reverse flush/coolant flush with restore and restore+ on my 04. I am going to be swapping out the oil cooler and doing an egr delete in a couple of weeks and was wondering if it is alright to leave just straight water in there till i tear it apart. i hate to waste $25/gallon hd elc for just a couple of weeks of use.
Whats your thoughts on it. Will it hurt anything? Does the water pump need the coolant for lubrication? Will anything rust without coolant in it for that short of a time?

Plus 1^^^^^^^^^^Very Very Fast You dont want the front cover to cavitat
If you can Filter the old Coolant and dump it back in and just change it when you do the Oil Cooler
Run a Coolant filter on the truck to get it as clean as possible B4 the Work
I went to Great Lengths to clean mine out and it Paid Off
Right before the work Do the Flush 1 more Time and dont flush oil cooler in fact try to break all Junk loose and catch it in the Oil Coooler right Before the changeout
