Hey Guys, i'm a newbie to this website as i was a small ford truck owner before!
I was driving down the highway at roughly 100km/hr and everything shut off, engine died. All lights when you turn your key went on (after engine died) Luckily we were able to put it in neutral and pull over. Stopped and turned the key and it fired back up....
About an hour of driving later, same thing... Engines dies and lucky again... But now we are at our campsite, i brought lots of tools but am scratching my head on where to start. I checked the main grounds and as many connectors as i could but nothing seems unattached or corrosive... Battery is fairly new.
Has anybody had similar issues and found a fix? or can point me in the right direction! thank you very much!
Both suggestions are unlikely to be useful.. If it were a short, there would be smoke or blown fuses. Rebooting the computer 1) doesn't take an hour, 2) isn't going to address engine stalling, and 3) will erase any potentially useful information stored in the computer

Your symptoms need a little fleshing out, if possible. When the engine died, did you also loose any or all other electrical functions or was it just the engine that died? Were you able to observe if the instrument panel remained powered up or if it also when down? Any other observations?

Okay i can help a little with that
1) driving along and engine dies, instrument panel lights up and warning bell sounds (ding ding, like you left the keys in the truck) of course anything that uses a belt becomes difficult, turning and braking but nothing out of the ordinary, no smoke, engine didn't sputter, no indications before engine shutting off, didn't back fire, no smell of fuel
2) once placed into neutral, turn the key and the engine fires right up! both times with no extra lags or troubles, just like a normal engine start. No engine light nothing, it doesn't die then come back on either (hard to describe what i mean there....ummmm the engine dies, you only notice from no power, you look down all lights are on, put it in neutral turn the key right back to normal)
3) did not hit any bumps before symptoms
4) I've checked the maf (not cleaned but looked for excessive dust or core), went through and checked the common grounds and all were tight (don't want to disconnect the bat as i left my OBD at home so i would like to check it then
I will try to rein act, driving along (not uphill, nor with an extremely full load or with any trailer) and engine shuts off, warning bell rings and after regaining control slip truck into neutral, turn the key and the engine fires right up, About an hour or two later same thing.
Whoa....thats just...wierd...sounds like either a short to the PCM....
I was thinking the same thing, and i've checked everything i could think of, but i'm new to the V10 and a motorhome, so there could be a ground my typical engines don't have.... but the big three are there and good... (Block, along with the starter, firewall to block, front section next to the bat)
I've now seen a lot more but none are loose or corroded, and the engine bay is very clean, with 30,000 KM on it so it's driving me nuts....
I'd pop a new PCM Power relay in there and cross my fingers. On older trucks, they have a history of intermittent failure that will cause your symptoms. Other than that, it might be a loose or corroded fuse mount in the fuse panel that's causing an intermittent loss of power.
Bunch of other stuff is possible - most will give you gray hair trying to find when they're intermittent. The good news is that, if it fails completely, it will be easier to find and repair. The downside is that it will probably pick Death Valley as the spot to fail.
Well, i've cleaned all the fuses and relays i could get my hands on, i've also cleaned the battery cables, went through the truck again to c if any connectors or grounds were loose (while doing so too them apart and fiddled and put them back)
Hopefully this makes it so i can get home safly and not die in a "death Valley"
Thanks again everyone and i'll comment if it works out for me! If not you mimght have to see abit more of me I'll plug it in when i get home as well c if any codes come up (although i have now unplugged the battery to clean the cables but u never know)
